This was Pepa, my girlfriend's cat which got killed. She was the sweetest, gentlest, cuddliest little black cat.

Concept

The artist says she loves the innocence of a layman speaking through the art.
The lack of skill and the authenticity of the emotion have always been appealing to her.

For some years now she creates digital art on her smartphone using an app called ibisPaintX. And sometimes she combines drawing on paper with digital art.

The motifs that you will see in her paintings are philosophical. What interests her is the meaning of life, or the lack of it, loneliness vs solitude, good vs evil, and so on.

There is a lot of pain and suffering turned into beauty and hope.

The artist suffers from trigeminal neuralgia, a very painful condition that tests her resilience so she finds comfort in painting.

Sometimes the process itself means more than the product.
