Concept

I would characterize my creative style as romantic fantasy realism. This is object art, where realistically depicted objects can be placed in a conventional newly created decorative environment, where their own laws of constructing space and perspective can dominate, and flat backgrounds can prevail. I prefer rich, bright, cheerful colors and rich textures.

Biography

Elena Shichko is a professional artist. She was born in Belarus, 1976. Currently she lives in Germany.
She graduates of the graphics department of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts (2001). Member of the Belarusian Union of Artists (2003). Graduate of the Creative Academic Workshops of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus (2003).
Elena Shichko is participant of numerous international exhibitions. Her solo exhibitions are: "Parallel World" (2021) "Mastatstva" gallery, Minsk, Belarus; "Watercolor" (2006), Museum of Modern Fine Arts, Minsk, Belarus; "Graphics" (2000), Nordwald, Germany.
The works were repeatedly awarded with awards and diplomas.
Artistic works of Elena Shichko are in the collection of National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, in collection of the National Center for Contemporary Arts of the Republic of Belarus, in the numerous private collections around the world.
