"My journey has just begun. The end is unforeseen. I have moved; I am moving and will continue to move on and on..." this is how I look at my journey in Visual Art, who recently served as Secretary, Lalit Kala Akademi - New Delhi and presently working assistant professor with the centenary old institution as an assistant professor, Printmaking Studios, Faculty of Fine Arts, College of Arts and Crafts, Lucknow University, sums up my motto in life. My quest is to seek and search is an ongoing process and life is a continuous process, not a journey that has an end.
I hold a Degree in Fine Arts from Goa College of Art and a Master Degree in Printmaking from M S University, Vadodara along with vast experience in Art Scenario across India and Abroad.
My artworks too reflect the present trend of my thoughts; they are in a state of movement. I also move easily from one medium to another, at times working with Drawings, Paintings to more time-consuming media like Printmaking and Installations. "I have been working in printmaking for last many years, simultaneously doing drawings and painting. I use the line as a formidable element to express. Printmaking offered me to learn its various and subtle nuances. My image-making process remains the same in drawing, painting, and printmaking. Whatever the medium of expression, the concerns are the same - human life, which interests me and my artworks reflect my perception.
Basically, I use to work with human themes. Human life interests me. My works reflect my perception of the immediate world around me. They represent the Metascapes of mind. In my artworks, I have tried sometimes to bring moral icons of the society and create awareness about the social values. My works also attempt to fathom the uncertainty and changes in time and space, depicted by the relevant distinct forms. Also, I always try to include social-political elements.
