This project was born of a reflection on the duality of our world.
It's an attempt to show on canvas a balance in the unity of opposites.
Using only two colors, black and white, and working in shades of gray,
I seek harmony between light and shadow on the canvas
the relationship between my own shadow and light.

Passing the instrument across the canvas, I feel the monumental nature of the mountains
timeless reality and truth, the timelessness and immortality of stone, the purity and fragility of snow, the irreversibility of ice's
transformation. The pattern of cracks, the transitions, the softness of stone
in interaction with the wind. This astonishing graphy and harmony.
I become a witness and a participant in the mystery of understanding
this power.
There never seems to be anything more monumental and monolithic than mountains.
The seasons have changed, but the mountain tops have
remained white. But even these giants are changing their appearance. And
we are now witnessing it all over the world. Is this not a
reminder to us, humans, of the fragility of this world and the beauty of its movement
transition to a new condition?
The fragility of man and his strength as part of nature.

Black and white. Stone and snow. Yang and yin. Movement and stillness.
The balance of nature, like our differences, is a process of growth and
transition to a new quality.

My art is an attempt to explore these changes and capture the
here and now moment.
