The kimono is loved by Japanese people as a traditional garment and its history dates back to Japanʼs Heian period (794-1185). Even today, kimono are often used for important ceremonies such as weddings and coming-of-age celebrations in Japan. Yet, it is becoming less and less common to see these beautiful kimono in everyday life.
Therefore, we decided to start exporting kimono in order to share the tradition, culture, and pride of Japan with people around the world.

We first explored exporting kimono and obi themselves, however we feared that the technique for wearing kimono would be difficult and that they would end up in chests or closets. Therefore, we consulted with our craftsmen and decided to create works of art from kimono obi instead. Kimono obi is a historically valuable commodity, made of silk fabric, gold thread, silver thread, gold leaf, and silver leaf. Our skilled artisans use these same materials to transform kimono obi into wall art, tapestries, table runners, etc., without losing the original beauty of traditional kimono obi.
In addition, each pattern and color of kimono obi has its own meaning. To enjoy both the beauty of the work and the story behind it, we have attached a description to each item for your reading pleasure.

The kimono obi we use are precious one-of-a-kind pieces, and thanks to our generous friends who agree with our philosophy, we have succeeded in selling them at comparatively low prices. We are confident that you will be satisfied with our products and hope you enjoy this one-of-a-kind work of art.
