She has been creating artworks centering on "prayer" using the traditional Japanese culture of "calligraphy" with ink and brush as her medium of expression. While a university student, he came into contact with Shintoism and mythology at Ise Jingu Shrine, which is said to be "the home of the Japanese heart," and began to think about what Japanese identity is. The Great East Japan Earthquake that struck the Japanese archipelago in 2011 had a great impact on his own activities, and from that time on, he strongly felt the need to "create things that will never disappear" and "protect things that will disappear. This led him to start his activities as a "gojinshi," or Shinto ritual, with the theme of "something that will remain for 100 or 1,000 years." Currently, he continues to visit temples and shrines throughout Japan to create artworks with prayers on the spot, as part of his "gojinshi. All of these works are created only for the sake of invisible beings. Ito's works are the result of the energy of many people's "prayers" and the feelings that have been connected over time. History and life intersect." The ink connects them and gives birth to new life. Even if a work of art has the potential to last 1000 years, if the world 1000 years from now is not a world of peace and love, there will be no reason for the work to exist. With this in mind, I feel that thinking about the world 1000 years in the future and praying for peace in the world 1000 years in the future will be the axis of my activities from now on. With this in mind, I continue "dedication (production)" with my life.
