Concept

"Shattered Sky," 100 x 100 cm, oil on canvas, 2023. The sky, once embodying tranquility and infinity of thoughts for me, has transformed into a source of threat with the unfolding of russia's full-scale war. The red sky on the canvas serves as a symbol of a dangerous external world, while the clouds simultaneously embody an anxious internal state. My painting not only reproduces internal emotions but also draws the viewer's attention to the ongoing genocide, as the russian army mercilessly attacks and oppresses the Ukrainian people. This canvas is a call to the world to pay attention to the horrifying events and injustice unfolding before their eyes.

Biography

Tamara Safarova, 1992, Kyiv region.
Artistic career began during the russian invasion as a result of self-awareness.
Participant in numerous exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. Works are available in public collections.

In 2022 received an award from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the "Postcards from Ukraine" project.
In 2023 personal project "Lost Beliefs" received support from the ifa (Stuttgart, Germany).

Key themes – human impact on the world, inner exploration, stereotypes, memory.
Research is grounded in cultural heritage and history.

Live and work in Kyiv, Ukraine.
