Synthesis of ancient and modern art. A fragment of a colossal, excessive size, an unusually huge face of an ancient deity. Colossus - surpassing nature in its size. Even in ancient times, people personified their gods and kings in similar sizes, in the deliberate gigantism of the depicted. Purpose: through plastic forms to expand the boundaries of understanding the aesthetics of beauty. Expressive means: modern, minimalistic, not distracted by color and pictorial techniques. Sculptural and graphic performance, as a reminder of ancient artifacts released after a thousand years of oblivion

Biography

Artist from Russia. I work in the style of figurative painting. Rethinking ancient art through the stylization of forms. Generalizing the figures in terms of drawing and color, I try to preserve plastic expressiveness and find a new artistic context. Reducing all colors and shades to a black and white, monochrome palette, completely rejecting any color, rejecting minor details, while not losing the main thing and thereby giving it a fundamentally new imaginative content. An in-depth study of art history inspires me to create through the projection of my own technique, creating "antique Slavic" figures.o be updated
