"Beginnings" 12 x 12 acrylic on canvas.
In this piece I challenged the scope of complimentary colors, and applied them in a way that displays upward movement--to parallel my journey as an emerging artist. Exploring colors, patterns, movement and imagination.

Theresa (TL) Hennig was born and raised in Ohio. She has lived in 6 states, and has made Texas her home with her husband, 3 grown children and dog, Lucy, for the last 13 years. She is an author and self-taught artist who started creating when she was 49 years old with the publication of her first book, “Molly Parker and the Mysterious Black Oak Park.” Theresa then began expanding her artistic creations, focused on the use of color and imagination, and how they can take the mind to other places. Her preferred mediums are acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel and pencil While inspiration for art is everywhere, Hennig often relies on children’s books, nature and the beauty of a wide and vibrant color palette as a source of inspiration.
