Monica Mendez is a chilean artist born in Santiago. From an early age creative interest has motivated her in the pursuit of ways to artistically express herself, leading her in the development of creativity through music and visual arts. Creative longing has taken her through drawing, painting and the exploration of diverse tecniques in one of her favorite mediums: paper. Inspired by the art of the Cartapesta, she has managed to develop a personal style to sculpt shapes and characters from world cultures, and create miniature trees through a personal and unique technique that seeks to match the natural, in the style of traditional bonsai.
