Concept

Gwénola KAIGRE creativity has always been oriented around the gift of colorfull world and the matrix. From the womb to the chakra energy of the body and mind. Experimenting at her beginnings as an artist the womb was a recurrent theme in her researches, and with a life experience as a fashion photographer as well as oriented as a professionnal mystical card reader, the artist has enriched her vision with the beautifullness of FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY as well as the influence of the MANGA from her childhood with BUICHI TERASAWA creator of COBRA a japanese anime. Now Gwenola is focusing her vision on the essence of life through our living body, the vehicule and its expression through matter and time coming back to her first passion, the matrix. Technically the Sixtin Chapel is part of her inspiration with very strong and MATE colors full of pigments fixed with acrylic and love. Seeing a picture of Gwenola KAIGRE is even better as the color radiate with full matity.

Biography

Gwenola Kaigre is Born in French Brittany, in 1978. Daughter of a very talented jeweller, she spent her childhood surounded by diamonds, gold and ruby as a playground for her imagination. Her father's passion for photography has been a strong source of inspiration. After studying Art in school, the artist decided to focus on History and law to obtain the chance to multiply activity and knowledge in many area as she wanted to work in Art auction. Finally after working as a fashion reporter for 4 years in Paris and her first exhibition there, she spent 4 years in Belgium where she did an exhibition in the Stella Artois old factory in 2010 and 2 other one in Leuven in 2011. From 2012 until now, she has been living in the paradise island of New Caledonia to explore another way of life and express her Art with 7 exhibitions, first inspired by the universe of Manga in a pop influence and later with the universe of mythology and now with the work from the fashion photographer Steven Meisel, Mario Sorrenti, Mert and Marcus.. Now Gwenola is also creating jewellery with waxed strings and semi precious stones in honor of her father's dedication to jewellery and passion for lithotherapy and precious stones (Gwenola Kaigre & Lalunacrea page on FB shows her works).
