Exhibition] 9s Gallery by TRiCERA

- FUSE -

9s Gallery by TRiCERA is pleased to announce our upcoming exhibition, FUSE, from Tuesday, September 13 to Sunday, September 18, 2022.
FUSE" will be held from September 13 (Tue) to September 18 (Sun), 2022.

This exhibitioninvites two artists, photographerRyuji Tokudaand artist/vehicle painterTomohiro Todoroki, who have been expressing and working in different fields, to unravel and interpret their approaches to fusion in their respective technical theories.

TODOROKI's works are characterized by their pop impression and unique rhythmic outlines of wavy lines, which are based on a cubist viewpoint. The movement of the overlapping images is expressed in waves.
The overlapping movements of the images are independent of each other as rippling individuals, but at the same time, they have a multilayered structure and have acquired the significance of existing as paintings, sharply distinguishing them from illustrations.

Tokuda treats multiple photographs as materials and unites them with their synchronicity through a painterly approach of "mixing" them together. These photographs, mixed through image processing, acquire new forms through repeated distortion, splitting, inversion, and erosion, but when viewed up close, the images and colors of the original photographs are everywhere, giving them a reality that we do not perceive in everyday life.

We hope you will enjoy the spectacular images and illusions of color and sensation as the works fuse with each other and expand further.
