絵を描く唯一の動機は、そこから得られる喜びだ。鉛筆や筆を手にしていないときでも、私はいつも仕事をしている。すべての視線、すべての動き、すべての言葉、すべての通行人、私の周りのすべてが、私の画家の貯金箱を満たしている。私はその人物を浄化し、悪意や苦味、日常の心配事による灰色のベールを取り除く。
