Konzept

Vor dem Ausbruch des großen russisch-ukrainischen Krieges malte ich auf meinen Reisen durch die Ukraine und andere Länder vor allem Natur- und Stadtansichten. Aber nach dem 24. Februar 2022 zwang mich der Schmerz über den Verlust ukrainischer Menschen, Soldaten und Zivilisten, zerstörte Städte, das verkrüppelte Schicksal von Millionen von Menschen dazu, den Blickwinkel zu ändern, und jetzt sind für mich die Menschen die Hauptmotive, denn das ist der größte Wert. Mein Traum von einer Weltreise bleibt zwar bestehen, aber er wird dem Thema Krieg untergeordnet. Wenn ich die Natur anderer Länder male, denke ich an die Natur der Ukraine, die von den russischen Aggressoren ausgebeutet wurde. Wenn ich die Stadtbilder anderer Länder male, denke ich an die ganz oder teilweise zerstörten ukrainischen Städte... Wenn ich Menschen aus anderen Ländern male, denke ich mit Tränen in den Augen an die Zehntausende von getöteten und verwundeten Zivilisten, Kindern und Soldaten der Ukraine.

Biografie

Andrii Kovalyk, ein ukrainischer Wanderkünstler, wurde 1986 in der Stadt Czernowitz in der Ukraine geboren. Er erhielt eine professionelle Ausbildung in Ikonenmalerei, während seines Studiums kopierte er alte Ikonen in einigen der größten Museen. Während seines Studiums und einige Jahre später bemalte er Kirchen und malte Ikonen. Doch 2018 beschloss er, sich seinen alten Traum von einer Weltreise zu erfüllen. Seitdem reist er fast pausenlos mit dem Fahrrad durch verschiedene Länder der Welt und malt nach der Natur. Auf Reisen lernt er sich selbst und die Welt um sich herum kennen und versucht mit Hilfe der Malerei die ganze Bandbreite an Emotionen und Eindrücken aus den Geschichten, die ihm auf seinen Reisen zur Genüge passieren, zu vermitteln. Teilnehmer und Preisträger internationaler Ausstellungen und Wettbewerbe.
Gemälde und Ikonen befinden sich in Privatsammlungen in den USA, dem Vereinigten Königreich, anderen Ländern Europas und der Welt. Er lebt und reist jetzt in Spanien.
