Kurebayashi is known for her artwork depicting horses using a Yūzen dyeing method. This method was originally used to dye kimonos from the Edo period and is regarded as traditional Japanese handcrafts. It creates brilliant colors and fantastic atmosphere on the delicate silk fabric. Kurebayashi has been inspired by horses ever since she was young. By creating simplified horses’ figures in bold compositions, Kurebayashi creates her own unique images, in which the viewers can feel the healing energy.
