Il Prof. Michael Kwong è nato a Hong Kong nel 1972, ha studiato al Columbus College of Art & Design e dopo la laurea ha lavorato come illustratore negli Stati Uniti. Nel 2002 è tornato a Hong Kong per continuare la sua carriera artistica. Il Prof. Kwong ha insegnato in diverse università, tra cui la Shantou University, la Xiamen University e il Savannah College of Art and Design. Allo stesso tempo, ha lavorato come pittore di pop art e di espressionismo astratto, creando opere che combinano insieme le caratteristiche della cultura orientale e la tecnica pittorica occidentale.
