Tomás Castaño于1953年出生于桑坦德（西班牙）。

他的作品的特点是宁静和诗意的现实主义，当他画老区的街道、古董建筑和具有传统的外墙时，这翻译了艺术家的喜悦。他的画捕捉到了古董美学的魔力，并传递了现代生活中未经加工的环境的所有温暖和人性化。

他已经在一些国家的联展中展示了他的作品，如德国、荷兰、印度、美国、德国、爱尔兰、罗马尼亚、法国、葡萄牙、台湾、墨西哥、阿根廷、日本、意大利、韩国，以及在西班牙的许多个人和团体展览。托马斯-卡斯塔尼奥的作品代表坎塔布里亚参加了2005年的佛罗伦萨双年展。
他的作品在完成他的老酒馆系列时，以其独特的风格和氛围得到认可。
