Concept

"Quand la peinture est sèche, mon travail ne fait que commencer". Le désir de libérer la peinture et de lui permettre d'être indépendante est primordial dans ma pratique artistique. Mon processus est centré sur l'utilisation exclusive de la peinture séchée sans support. Je crée des peintures originales sans support en toile ou en papier, pour ensuite les déconstruire et les refaire. M'inspirant souvent de techniques textiles, de collage et de sculpture, mon objectif principal est de remettre en question les attentes de ce qu'une peinture est capable d'être.

Biographie

Julee est une artiste à plein temps depuis de nombreuses années. Elle est reconnue internationalement pour son travail dans le domaine de la mosaïque et est l'auteur du livre Sculptural Secrets for Mosaic (Schiffer Publishing, USA). Julee a beaucoup exposé en Australie, aux États-Unis et en Italie. Elle a été sélectionnée en tant que finaliste pour un certain nombre de prix artistiques australiens prestigieux. Ses œuvres font partie de collections privées dans le monde entier. Julee est titulaire d'une licence en beaux-arts, avec spécialisation en peinture et en sculpture, de l'université Curtin de Perth. Elle vit et travaille actuellement à Melbourne.
