Ko KIKUCHI通过他的作品来解决这个论题。他把他的艺术中的物体看作是平地上的个体。他赋予它们相互关系。然而，在将它们排成一排并连接起来的过程中，出现了一些不可分割的、不相关的个体。他什么也做不了，只能无奈地看着那些在不可避免的怪异中出现的不断移动的物体。

菊地对于在事物中寻找同等价值的观点受到了日本传统绘画、建筑和手工艺的启发，这些作品以平面和连续的设计为特色。
