Natsuki Itagaki’s parents were veterinarians which she grew up close to the animals since she was a child. She loved drawing animals since she was a child, and still creating art with animals and other creatures as motifs. In addition, she tries to draw the fantasy world instead of real-world, and express the sacredness and preciousness of life. She used to create picture books which influence her to includes story in the artworks she creates. She hopes viewers can feel the mythical fantasy world and a scene of the story in hid artwork. She mainly uses Japanese painting materials, washi, natural pigments, gold foil, and other natural material. She believes that the texture of the paints and foils will enhance the sacredness of the work.
