This work revolves around the Filipino concept of Bayanihan, when members of a community come together to help someone in need, typically portrayed in the act of helping them carry their entire home. In the painting, this community is comprised of these different animals native to the Philippines, wearing traditional clothing. Even when we are different, we can and must help each other, and I believe that is something that we can be proud of.
