In recent years, Natsuki Itagaki creates art base on the theme of ‘Somewhere unrealistic’. The animal in this artwork may look like a unicorn, but it is a virtual animal created by collecting his favorite shapes. Also, the main ideas were gain from interviewing Banei horse stallions breeding in Hokkaido, Japan.
He tried to express the sacred world with clues of the life and dynamics of creatures.
Mainly using a technique called Japanese painting, the base is drawn with ocher and cucumber on thin transparent Japanese paper, colored with rock paint made from ore, partially using pure silver foil and pure gold foil.
