    Description

    "This piece is a three-dimensional representation of a butterfly using multifaceted photo engraving technology.
    The body and wings are sculpted.
    This is a new work in the Butterfly Series for October 2020.
    The wings are spread wide on both sides for a powerful composition.
    The wings have been modeled more intricately than in the past, resulting in a more realistic finish.
    For the texture, we used a blue-based illustration with flowers scattered on it, superimposed on the butterfly's original pattern.
    The total length in width is about 25 cm.
    The butterfly's wings are spread wide, and the colorful yet calm texture gives the work a vivid and stylish image.

    Concept

    Yojiro started creating in addition to producing mixed-media sculptures that he had worked on until then, he began producing work using papercraft techniques. Since then, his papercraft work is highly evaluated by contemporary artists Katsuhiko Hibino and Milan Fukuda. Now he has been engaged in a wide range of activities with a view to new possibilities of papercraft art including collaborating with companies.

    Does this art work need a frame?

    In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

    • If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
