EUKARYOTE will hold a solo exhibition "The Paint of Mount Fuji" by Soichi Yamaguchi in connection with the Mt. Fuji Exhibition 3.0 "Fuji 220 Scenic Views". Souichi Yamaguchi was born in Chiba Prefecture in 1983 and graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2010. While a graduate student, she received the Gold and Hiromiyoshii Awards at the 2006 GEISAI # 9. In addition to participating in the Moscow Biennale in 2008, she also exhibited at art fairs in Hong Kong. Until now, I have published works both in Japan and overseas. For Yamaguchi, the act of “watching” is not only a visual issue, but also a realm of paradigm shift that can be seen in a completely different way from before, and that it is a realm of idea that a new side can be seen. You. This leads to an interest in the difference between the visual scale of a painting viewed from a human scale and other perspectives, and the fact that painting, which is considered to be a plane, actually has physically overlapping layers of paint. It has been studied by paintings that create a three-dimensional illusion of paintings that are three-dimensional. In this exhibition, the motifs of Mt.Fuji drawn by Daikan Yokoyama and Mt.Fuji on the 36 scenery of Mount Fuji at Katsushika Hokusai will make the classic image held by everyone in Japan so exciting. Inspired by the perspective and the unique color sensation of Yamaguchi, while painting pop, the focus is on the paint itself, which is physically painted, and the painting itself that can be transformed by passing through known and visual filters. It also gives viewers suggestions about the structure. In addition to the previous exhibition, this exhibition will also showcase new works made of pottery. This time, quoted from Andy Warhol's work `` Marilyn Monroe '', once creating a Marilyn solid as pottery, dividing it, then connecting the exploded view of the pieces like a metal splice and replacing it as a two-dimensional The shape of the icon-like image is changing. In this milestone year of 2020, I would like to invite you to take a look at Yamaguchi's works with a unique sensitivity to Mt. Fuji, which has been the subject of many works since ancient times.
January 10, 2020. - January 27, 2020.EUKARYOTE is pleased to announce our second solo exhibition with Keisuke Kozuki, "Hope's harbinger". November 1, 2019- November 24, 2019Thank you. It was easy to shop online and the staff was helpful with the advices when purchasing the artwork.
It was smooth shopping experience. The website was easy to understand, and the work arrived quickly as well.
I was attracted to the messages that each artworks has. I personally focus on the empathy for the vision and message from daily bases so it was nice to feel that.
