We felt strongly that Myanmar's talented artists deserved better representation and exposure to a wider market and we also wanted to share some of the fine work being created in Myanmar with art lovers from all around the world. For us, it has been a pleasure and a privilege to be part of our artists' journey - many of them have been with us since the gallery first opened.

20th - July 20th, 2020.River Gallery hosted Than Kyaw Htay's latest solo exhibition, featuring another chapter in his "Silent" series. "Silent Steps" focuses again on his native Rakhine, re-visiting favourite themes of collective movement; voices unheard; and uncomplaining toil. Opening party was held on Saturday 15th when visitors engaged with the deeper meaning behind the strong aesthetic appeal of the artworks. One of Myanmar's most well known painters, Than Kyaw Htay is also a talented film maker, thus, we screened his award-winning short film on the evening of the exhibition.
February 2020Htein Lin's blockbuster show "Skirting the Issue" was opened in Tokyo on Tuesday June 18th, where it ran until the end of the month. The show caused a huge controversy in Yangon, showing that Htein Lin was doing his job as a contemporary artist. In addition to the women's portraits, Htein Lin has revisited his past and created five stunning new "Return to Prison" paintings, which powerfully depict his experience during the years he was locked away.

June 18th,2019.Thank you. It was easy to shop online and the staff was helpful with the advices when purchasing the artwork.
It was smooth shopping experience. The website was easy to understand, and the work arrived quickly as well.
I was attracted to the messages that each artworks has. I personally focus on the empathy for the vision and message from daily bases so it was nice to feel that.
