Colorful blossoms race across the canvas, as if driven by the wind, or captured in a wild dance for the irretrievable moment. They are not real flowers at all, rather abstract structures, wild, sweeping brushstrokes, but from a distance they look completely floral. As many layers with different textures and colors the artist carefully applied and allowed to dry again and again, this work of art looks extremely light and cheerful. The floral is only revealed to the viewer from a distance. Up close you can see colored surfaces, expressive brushstrokes, scratches carved into the paint and graphite lines. But from a distance, the entire opulent image structure pours over the canvas and one feels reminded of the floral still lifes of the old masters from the 17th century, albeit transferred to the modern age.
