Kojo Kaneda

Kojo is a Japanese hieroglyphic calligrapher. Her father is also a professional calligrapher. and from the age of three Kojo had played with calligraphy ink and brushes. She is fascinated by the beauty of the ink, paper, and its connection with nature. As a calligraphy artist, She aims to express this beauty. Her current art form was influenced by an encounter with ancient hieroglyphic character engravings as she was drawn to its aesthetics and the negative space. She feels the patterns that have been used since ancient times is amusing and has a sense of purity. She hopes her viewers will see her art as being interesting and thought-provoking.
