Story:
Another moment occurred during our winter vacation at the Chillán ski resort. While my family was skiing, I ventured out to photograph a small waterfall near the Renegado Creek. The road leading to it passed by a military vacation resort, so I had to walk the rest of the way. Unfortunately, I hadn’t brought snowshoes, and with every step, my feet sank into half a meter of snow. Once I finally reached a vantage point where I could see the waterfall, I realized I couldn’t get any closer. I was using infrared film, but I had yet to fully master it and had mistakenly used a regular red filter instead of the proper IR filter. As I set up my tripod and camera, a strong snowstorm rolled in, limiting me to just a few shots before I had to retreat with cold and wet feet as the melted snow seeped in.
