Description

This vibrant worker bee watercolor was inspired by a real bee that the artist saw pollinating flowers in front of a decorative mini windmill at Jardin du Port de l'Arsenal in Paris, France. Having recently left an engineering career in tech to pursue art fulltime, the artist named the work "Cleaning up the product backlog", amused by the resemblance of diligent bees and product owners / scrum masters in her previous profession.

Concept

Most of my artworks fall into the magic realism, or pop surrealism, genres. The main idea is always figurative and inspired by reality, but I often introduce a twist (whether in the subject matter, or the manner of painting) to show my personal interpretation of it. To achieve this, I have been using soft and oil pastels, watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint, often resorting to bright color palettes and naive art style, reminiscent of my childhood.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
