Description

This is one of the first artworks I painted during the war against Ukraine. It took me a while to be able to gather the strength to pick up a brush again and paint something.
This beautiful girl is painted in watercolor and captures traditional Ukrainian elements: flower crown with stripes in colors of the Ukrainian flag, red breads, red lips, traditional shirt.

I fled Ukraine and now in Turkey for the time being. I can deliver this artwork to you as I painted it here.
All of my original artworks from before are at home, in Kyiv, Ukraine. I could not be able to send them.
This portrait is a new piece I created already in Turkey so it is possible to send it.

Paint: “Rosa” watercolor set, professional watercolors of the highest quality.
Paper: "Canson Montval" professional paper of highest quality, cold press, 300 GSM.

I am Yana, a full-time traveler, and professional watercolor artist.

The whole world is my home and that's how I get inspiration for my art. I've been living in Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, Peru, Colombia, France, Spain and visited hundreds of cities around the world.
Places I visited, people I met, nature, architecture, colors & smells all influence me and find their way on paper. I paint in a realistic style but here & there I try to play with loose techniques, inks and other media.

Does this art work need a frame?

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
