Concept

. I am from Kamaishi, Iwate Prefecture, and when the Great East Japan Earthquake hit, I saw my mother's family home washed away on TV from my home in Chiba. I felt helpless and powerless to do anything about the cruelty of nature. Japan has suffered many disasters in the past. The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, the Great East Japan Earthquake, the Kumamoto Earthquake, and the torrential rain disaster in Hiroshima are fresh in my memory. The victims' hearts are filled with deep, wrenching sadness. Anger that has no place to go. And frustration. But people have always risen from the depths of their disappointment. I wanted to express such Japanese spirit and strength of mind in my work. We wanted to express the strength that will not be defeated in the current coronary transitions. We will rise up and overcome. We will not be defeated! That's how it seems to me. I will create works that express my spirit and thoughts in my paintings. When I paint socially-conscious pictures, my heart is exhausted. Perhaps it is a reaction to that... I want to draw cute pictures. Puppies, cats, and animals. I want to add a little twist to my animal paintings instead of just drawing them. With a little bit of mischievousness.
