    Description

Abstract oil portrait with patterns of quantum particles:
    "S.S.I.O. #10: Through Matter"

This artwork is about the fleetingness and insignificance of life. Our planet moves at breakneck speed through the galaxy, and the galaxy moves through the universe. Every atom of mine was once born in a star, and the water I drink was once drunk by dinosaurs. We are a microscopic part of the universe, and our lives are only moments.

I once saw photos of hadron collider experiments taken while two accelerated atoms were colliding with each other. The pictures capture the paths of subatomic particles, which "live" only a moment (or maybe an eternity). Reflecting on the mysteries of the universe served as my inspiration. What if humanity had touched the threads that bind all that exists? The threads of a world where matter, time, and thought are the same.

    Oil on canvas, 2018
    Dimensions 60x80x2 cm.

“Sed Semel Insanivimus Omnes”-lat.: (“Sometimes we can all be insane”) series.
In this series, I explore the human soul, the feelings, and the emotions of people, their secret desires, drives, and vices. These artworks are a reflection of my continuous exploration of the surreal, the hidden, the unseen, the unseemly, the never-thought-about, the contemplative, the whimsical. The theme of each artwork is reflected in the style of painting, colors, and symbolic forms.

  • About this artist

    Concept

I use different kinds of art: painting, drawing and sculpture, sometimes combining them. I portray people, nature and my own thoughts. Often my tools for interpreting the meaning of artwork are allegories and metaphors, abstract symbols and unique patterns.

I find something wonderful in the grey everyday life. I display that part of the world that's hard to take my eyes off of. It could be a naked body, a flower, or a random ray of sunshine. In my subjects, I also show the other side of the essence of this object of a surreal or abstract style. It's an inherent part of the world order - everything has two sides at least.

In my artworks I explore subconscious phenomena, feelings and desires, I interpret my philosophical reflections on the construction of the human personality and its relation to the outside world. I explore Reality, integrating elements that may not exist but which reflect the atmosphere and mood, the deep meaning of the moment depicted.

From this quest comes the hallmark of my artworks - the combination of classical and expressive painting techniques. In composition and subject matter I juxtapose brightly accented spots of colour or technique and complement them with contrasting textural elements. I often incorporate unique ornaments into my paintings, using the author's patterns of varying complexity.
