CONNECTION AND MOVEMENTS

The research in this set talks about the force of attraction and the energetic movement on structures that refer to trunks and neurons.

In this series there is the purpose of representing the forces of attraction that connect the structures and interrelate these two physical forces.

In the painting the representation of the matter is made by the use of the compound consisting of a heavy body of paint.

Both works have the hybrid structure that is formed by the union between trunks and neurons.

With all this, the forms of nature suffer with physical actions and affirm themselves before them.

*The painting has no wooden structure and is composed of fabric, due to that, the shipment will be made through a tubular packaging with the painting wrapped inside the tube.

ABOUT THE WORK

Carlos Borsa is a visual artist born and established in Sao Paulo, Brazil, who works with painting on various sort of media. He uses several techniques among which stand out: oil on canvas, charcoal on paper, and contemporary fresco.

As a striking feature, his works have a duality between opposites (Light and Darkness, Liquid and Concrete, Classicism and Expressionism) and with this an identity based on existentialist thinking is created.

The existentialism is structured on the idea of duality, brings reference based on various artistic movements, among them expressionism, baroque and renaissance painting.

In the plasticity of the work there is the concept of contraposition that takes place in two moments: through the expressionist brushstroke as opposed to the representational brushstroke; and through the contrast between the support used in the work and the painting performed.

Through this language the artist builds his poetics from the harmony between the extremes.
