Description

"Arnica Lake", located high in the Canadian Rockies, on Storm Mountain.
Arnica Lake is cradled in the rock walls of storm mountain at an elevation where the forest becomes dominated by subalpine larch trees.
In late September the larches transition to their beautiful golden colour.
Arnica Lake gets its name from the golden arnica flower that grows along the shoreline.
In the late fall the lake is usually frozen over by late October.
