The artist had the idea of working with image appropriation, in this case the photo of
Lady Gaga, but without wanting to give a precisely technical aspect and totally faithful to
because the artist wanted to make a transfer of language, move from the photo to the
painting, therefore, the work must have the face of a painting, not a photo, despite being elaborated
from a photo, because the author wanted to maintain a concept of originality
of the work, using Lady Gaga's photo as a base, but not making a mere copy,
opting to put their gaze on the expression of it rather than on the gaze of the
photographer, so the colors were changed despite the lighting being the same, and
the quick brushstrokes give an appearance of spontaneity to the painting, in contrast
of the flat colors of the photographic color scale. The artist starts from photography to
trying to keep the composition of the photo in it but taking out its smooth and
leaving an appearance of something more loose, realistic, but it was painted, not
just an enlarged or removed image from somewhere, but a painting of a
pop icon, with the artist's vision, the expression captured by the artist through the review
of clips, photos and videos of it, the composition of the photo is of the photographer, the use of
appropriation of this image is of the artist and the look is also of the artist.
