Description

This original painting was made on canvas board and I used oil paints and cold wax. I laid orange, red, blue, and black oil paint in the first layer and let it dry for a week. I then coated it over with white paint mixed with cold wax. After this dried I then carved back into it and created the figures that appear to be just settling in for a nice day with friends, relaxing and sharing the moments.

Painting is my peace and another avenue through which I create a connection with others. I use oils. Many of my pieces show my desire to make social comments through the depiction of emotions and struggles in life. Some days I begin knowing exactly what I want to paint but often, I begin with the idea of being free of restrictions and I’m wonderfully surprised.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
