    The icon is written on a prepared board (linden, oak), impregnated with an antiseptic, covered with a textile and chalk ground (icon painting soil).
    The painting is made in the egg tempera technique. All colors are of natural origin. The gilding is made by hand from leaf gold.

    Ancient technologies and natural materials ensure a long life of the icon.

    The image of Jesus the Good Shepherd is dear to the heart of every Christian, because it clearly conveys the main theme of the Gospel - the Son of God came to save every person.
