Description

The series obscuration shows my use of geometric or biomorphic shapes and strong colours, characterized by dense and unexpected structures to show the intense accumulation and obscuration by patterning. The artist's name and signature can be found on the reverse side of the artwork.

Concept

My artistic practice was influenced by three factors: Abstract
Expressionism, Shapes and Patterns. My work explores the use of geometric or biomorphic shapes and strong colours, characterized by dense and unexpected structures with a conviction to intense build up and obscuration through patterning. There is a compelling tension between the trace of my brush
strokes with the materiality of the paint itself. Finally, my asymmetric distribution of colour with distinct accents makes it rich chromatically in which an order is animated by the disorder. I mostly express feelings through my paintings rather than illustrate them. I let myself go. I thought little of houses and trees, but applied colour stripes and spots to the canvas.

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
