Concept

Policarpo Ribeiro was born in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, in 1966. Early in his career, Policarpo is strongly affected by the Cubist works of Picasso and Braque and the sensitive colors and shapes the work of Paul Klee.
But, over time, his art is close to Expressionism, both figurative and abstract in nature. Polycarp then performs frequently work with different materials on different media.
The current paint Policarpo cubist takes the view that guided his first steps in the field of artistic creation. Policarpo, a polymorphic artist, has been doing, black and white, a remarkable series of imaginary portraits, expressionist, with deep psychological and accents that fall in the best that produces up to the present.
Policarpo's artistic career began to take shape in the 90's and launched in the last six years, when there was a marathon of participation in art fairs and exhibitions in Brazil and abroad.
Its activities are developed in Suzano on several fronts. In 1988 he became professor of arts at the Cultural Center of Suzano, an activity that carries to the present. Since 1998, teaches workshops at the Atelier Art and Solution, from 2002 to 2004, the Cultural Space of the College of Suzano. Among 1998 to 2004, performed social work with art in the Orsa Foundation Street Children in Suzano. Also taught at the School of Art and Visual Communication of Mogi das Cruzes in 2000. Directed by two years the Association of Plastic Artists of Suzano (2002-2004).
