My art is about celebrating the female universe in all it's deepness and swing.

The painting Wonder Guide shows us the female caracteristic of softness.
This soothing warm artworks just radiates softness and harmony for those who see it.
In softness there is also rescilience.
Rigidness might seem stronger, but after the storm, the cane that seemed to be floored, just comes back up to it's graceful verticality, saluting the sun.

The ever moving inner feminine world is what fascinates this artist.
Van Steen portrays abstract, strong women,
strong in their fierceness,
strong in their hopes,
yet also strong in their sensuality,
in their vulnerabilities and doubts… yet always theirselves.

Her style is aligned with that, using a visual language that is easily understood: Urban pop art. The flowing outlines speak a clear message and the vibrant colors add intensity to the personality of the depicted feelings.
