    Description

Direct flights from London to Japan. Foggy London Gatowitzk International Airport. The plane is close to its maximum takeoff weight, so the runway is used to its fullest. Engine failures during takeoff can lead to fatal accidents. The runway lights are dimly lit and the fog is thickening. The aircraft glides slowly on the ground toward the runway. ATC reports JapanAir402,cleared for Takeoff. After Takeoff, Maintain Headng270. The co-pilot recites the report. The captain slowly advances the thrust lever and confirms that the four engines are accelerating normally, and the flight engineer advances the thrust lever for takeoff under the captain's direction. With a little runway left, the aircraft climbs! The aircraft I am on enters the clouds, the lights on both wings reflecting off the clouds and becoming a milky phenomenon. The aircraft rises strongly. Size of the work, 26.5 x 39 cm. Signed Richard Kai, artist's name on cardboard board. After that, I was a contracted artist at a gallery, but I changed my name to the current one when I started showing in Japan.

  • About this artist

    Concept

An endless sea of clouds. The world I dreamed of as a child. The moment of the sunrise, a moment of many emotions, I was a sky traveler. Mr. Tetsuya Ueda is a sky traveler. While working as a JAL flight engineer on a 747, he also worked as an artist. His work has been covered by the mass media and newspapers. He has established a unique world of cockpit art as his art style, depicting scenes seen from the cockpit. His aim to become a professional artist was triggered by two watercolor paintings of size 80 that he submitted to the Prova Grand Prize Exhibition. They are Dreamer and Rome on the subject of Rome. The person in charge told me that Teppei Sasakura had judged the works and said they were candidates for the Grand Prize. The sketches were made at work, and they are the subjects of European and Hawaiian art. Through art, I have been able to convey the excitement of the sky. I would like to continue to create art, including landscapes, in the future.
