Concept

Dolly Bhansali Chopra is an abstractionist who explores her work with painting, texture, and
design. She constantly attempts to expand her scope of what art can do, far away from the
visual-realistic world. She breaks out of the disciplinary world and creates imaginative and
immersive art with minimal use of a paintbrush, instead focusing on unconventional tools like
palette knives and paint scrapers. The process of layering using modest means is risk-taking but
with the slightest use of metallic gestures and, with a wide array of colors, she creates a unique
depth to the artworks that show the elasticity and specificity of her thought and approach. They
shimmer and dazzle under lights. Her artwork is free flowing, yet Intricate. With her newest
body of work, she is exhibiting at the World Art Dubai in its upcoming edition in March 2022.
