    Description

Regarding my Greek heritage according to Hesiodus, in ancient Greek Theogony in the beginning there was only Chaos. Chaos gave birth to Eros, Eros gave birth to Νecessity and so Uranus and Gaia were created ... As a couple they gave birth to the Gods and so human kind was brought to Earth. In my philosophical and scientific researches I was surprised to discover how the theories of ancient philosophers such as Plato and Pythagoras are confirmed through today’s quantum physics, according to which the rules that govern the creation of the Universe are based on mathematics. In order to materialize the beauty of the Cosmos creation I chose to use black color to depict the absence of time, such as the number four as an archetypical symbol of the four elements of life: wind -water – earth - fire, capturing the psyche – butterfly in a human body.

  • About this artist

    Concept

I've always been captivated with humanity and how things 'work' on our planet. That's why I'm
trying to discover and understand through my art, the fundamental terms of existence. One of my
most basic quests is to understand what the soul is. How the condensed energy becomes material,
how the curvature of time enhances this sensation, and how do we end up taking the time in the
three dimensional matrix ... For now I comprehend the existence of the soul as a light vibration
and I'm trying to depict it by using archetypal and philosophical symbols with Art Deco
    influences.
The underpinnings of my creative process is the study and the 'scientific' approach of my subject: how
a two- dimensional surface can become a window for three or more dimensions. I study philosophy,
theology, anthropology, in order to communicate my 'incorporeal' ideas through my 'corporeal'
    artworks.
There's lot of pain and a lot of injustice across our planet all times but the truth, however, lies behind
the obvious. We keep seeking love and happiness but the beauty and the harmony lie behind simplicity,
behind every moment we breathe, behind every moment we make a choice. Always remember, we are
    nothing but water and stardust.
The basic elements that have become an integral part of my work are the golden color and the
embossed textures with a geometric background. The golden color in my view is the most appropriate
way of depicting the perception of infinite space and time continuum, and the philosophical perception
that the origin of everything is light energy. The “decorative” textures help me illustrate the view that
the rules governing the creation of the Universe are based on mathematics. It's my way to materialize
the beauty of the Cosmos creation
