Cotton canvas on a studded frame, multi-technique, acrylic paint and structural mortar. The background is worked with sponge and fingers while the subject is sculpted with a mortar structure that Jody makes from marble powder and limestone, it is applied with a knife to provide relief and material.
With this painting, Jody wanted to pay tribute to Manu Dibango celèbre musician deceased of covid. Find the magic of his music, the sounds of the saxophone and let yourself be carried by his world. Concept

I tested different techniques with a modeling past that I make from marble and limestone powder and that gives me thickness and relief.
At first, I carve it on the canvas with a knife and give shape to my subject then after drying, the color of the acrylic gives it life.
