This painting is included in my Butterfly series which I dedicate to my Mom who passed due to a very rare disease (Bulbar palsy)
She loves butterflies, neon and bright colors, and sparkly gems. which are all seen on each butterfly I made on this series.
This piece is inspired by our most precious memories with our parents who are both in heaven. The simple black ad white colors represents the simple life we had and yet the sparkly gems shows how magical it still was with them.
It's a mixed media of acrylic, heavy gel, resin, gems, and gold leafing (in black)
