Description

This canvas shows the influence that Neo-expressionism of the 1980's has on my practice. It was really an amazing experience to grow up in NYC those years and walk around the City and the train stations and see the graffiti art being displayed all throughout. I was truly mesmerized by it and it still shows up in my work with my personal touches and style.
My work is the result of years of practice and the determination to arrive at a particular style not yet explored by other artist.
Acrylic, house paint, spray paint, markers, oil sticks and lacquer spray paint on primed canvas unstretched and unframed.

Concept

Like many artists before him, Džozef Bosch subscribes to a multidisciplinary approach to art-making. Bosch was educated in visual and plastic art forms. From making sculptures in his early years to the time in school when he entered a contest to create a unique piece of art and he chose to build a glass lamp that ultimately won "First Prize". Bosch chooses to paint in traditional techniques as well as modern ones. He was heavily influenced by New York City's amazing scene of the 80's while he was still in school by the likes of Warhol and Basquiat.
My job is to create using anything that I can get my hands on. At the end of the day, "what is art and what is not?" asked Picasso.

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
