Concept

"I am an Abstract Expressionist painter. My paintings focus on gestural movement of energy which represent action and movement in the form of the energy flow. I utilizes different angles of brush strokes creating 3-dimensional form and depth in my paintings. My strokes are expressive and signify a spontaneous application of paint which results in bold and textured paintings that are also aesthetically appealing.

I am inspired by nature and the vibrant colors of fall. Initially i started work with natural landscapes but later i modified the shapes and impression of the landscape that resulted in abstract expressions which gives more depth and feel to my work. I use acrylic as a medium to express my energetic strokes.

Irfan was born in 1980. He earned his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from karachi school of Arts, in 2010 i have moved to houston tx USA, i am inspired by nature and urban city architectural. Spaces like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles and the vibrant colors of modern city life Initially i started my work with natural landscapes but later i modified the shapes and impression of the landscape that resulted in abstract expressions and calligraffiti which gives more depth and feel to my work. I uses acrylic as a medium to express my energetic strokes and i utilizes my sense of control in creating gestures on to my canvas.

His paintings are full of action and activity which adds life to his paintings. He balances his paintings with a combination of a composition that he has in his mind and the random and vigorous application of paint on to the canvas creating a unique abstract expression.
