Concept

Began painting and drawing oil paintings in high school. When I was in college, I made paintings and ceramics. After graduation, I worked for a manufacturer of fancy stationery and drew illustrations for product planning, letter sets, wrapping, etc. During a trip to France in 2002, I started thinking about living in Paris. I had been to other countries and cities, such as New York, and I liked them, but when I came to Paris, I felt that I could live here, something I had never felt in any other country. I feel like I could live here, which I've never felt anywhere else. He started making etchings at Atelier Contrepointe, a general multi-coloured print shop, in 2004 when he moved to France, plus lithographs since 2013 and small sculptures in bronze since 2017. At the moment, the motifs of my works are mostly natural objects (animals and plants) and I don't have a specific theme in mind - figurative and semi-figurative works. As both copperplate engraving and lithography are time-consuming works, it seems to me that they are like hand-weaving or tapestry, in that they create a mental image landscape by accumulating actions like a tapestry. I am happy to be able to work in an environment in Europe, the birthplace of etching and lithography. I would be happy if you could feel the synchronicity in my work and display it in your private space.
