Tai Chi Circle is an expression of the combination of image, mathematic and philosophy. It is also the most concise expression of the universe and human society, and therefore it is the most representative of China's inherent overall thinking mode. Tai Chi Circle vividly reveals the mystery of the universe: Yin and Yang are opposed and unified, and correspondingly but embraced. At the same time, the S-curve of the yin and yang divided the diagram is a dynamic display of the interdependence, restriction, ebb and flow, and transformation. The two sides of yin and yang judged by this curve are complementary and symbiotic, opposite but mutually forming, symbolizing the harmony achieved by the law of the unity of opposites in the universe.
Celine expresses a kind of balanced beauty of Tai Chi’s philosophy through paper quilling techniques and strong contrast color matching.
The artist produced this high standard digital prints edition of artworks especially for TRiCERA ART. It has printed on 315 gsm soft cotton Baryta fine art paper with museum standard high quality ink.
The original artwork has used over 500 meters of paper strips totally, which are composed of three-dimensional paper blocks of different colors and forms, showing the artist's skills and love for the unique art of paper quilling.

Concept

In the mysterious and charming Greek mythology, there are seven important goddesses. These seven goddesses have their own characteristics. They represent the personalities of different women. This series of paper quilling artworks are inspired by the spiritual characteristics of the seven goddesses. In her own aesthetic sense, Celine vividly presents women's different beauty to the audience, creating a new visual impact. The first work is called Artemis. In Greece, this goddess represents the spiritual independence of women. Her strength comes from the boundaries she sets for herself. The female eyes in the painting are firm and confident. With sharply contrasting colours, Celine demonstrates the spiritual appearance of women's independence and courage.
