Concept

I create my work under the theme of 'Life/Death'. I am trying to highlight the intense life behind the death of animals on canvas. I went to the Region of Yogyakarta in Indonesia to attend artist in resident where I have gained a lot of experience that I've never had before. People in Yogyakarta had a religious attitude toward God, always singing songs with a smile on their face, and their culture of tolerance and gentleness to others is something that is missing in Japan. At the same time, I felt that sexual intercourse before marriage and the sense towards pigs are interesting as we don't have that culture in Japan. I feel that uncleanness is as important as cleanliness as I think they are in pairs, just like the front and back of a coin. I want to express the cycle of purity, life, uncleanness, and death through my work.
